Espuma Activo

I was hearing the name Espuma on one of the detailing forums I use, both to show off work and gain tips etc, so I looked them up.

Phoned up and spoke to a very helpful chap called Les, told him what I did and what I’d like from manufacturers. After a nice rewarding phone call Les promised to send some samples to me to try.

True to his word, a day later I got a BIG box of items and one of which I had to try immediately…

This product was called ACTIVO and was written up as a foaming TFR so I just had to give it a go. I mixed it up into my foaming lance attached to my pressure washer and gave it a shot. This stuff flew out of the lance and looked to me like a slightly thinned down version of snow foam upon 1st impression. I allowed the product to dwell on the vehicle for 10 minutes and then rinsed off at high pressure. I stood back with my mouth open.

This product had managed to get the vehicle looking pretty much clean, and I’d not even taken a mitt to it yet! I must add that the vehicle did have a good layer of wax product on it already and its been well looked after, but all the same I could have stopped the job there and then! I was on the phone to Les right then and ordered 25 litres, and he’ll confirm that if you ask him.

Since that point I have experimented with the Activo, both in concentration and dwell times and have come to the conclusion down south I need to use it a bit stronger (than up north where the water is softer) to get a nice thick foamy covering. The dwell time of about 10 mins seems optimum to me, but what I love about Activo is this:

1) Spray on, rinse off. No pre-mixing in a sprayer bottle like other TFR’s

2) No matter what the outside temp it works with no streaking.

3) No matter the concentration no streaks either!

Its an easy hassle free product and the customer service gives a great feel good factor. No 2 ways about it, Espuma are great to deal with.

Best wishes
